(from Tique AM VA) Well, technically speaking, "How good is Vodafone?": In Australia, they are number three. This is probably mostly because they don't offer a residential service and don't have as many business clientel because of that. I personally think they are brilliant, their customer service is second to none by far, (they don't sound like they have a stick up their a** when you call) and they always have the most recent phones and services available. They seem to have a better commitment to service because obviously they want to get to number one on the ladder. Coverage in Australia isn't as good as the competitors maybe, but I've heard that by Christmas 2008 it will be just as good as the rest! In summary, I think they're great!

(from Andrew G) I was a vodafone customer for years and always got a good signal and service, the only complaint I had was that upgrading a phone direct through vodafone was expensive. I moved to O2 because they offered a better upgrade deal & tariff, but the signal where I live isn't as reliable.

I've only ever been a contract customer of vodafone so i couldn't comment on the PAYG aspect of things. In my experience they're very reliable and there aren't many places i've been to where i've failed to aquire a phone signal. All in all, i'd say they're good
