I want to start by saying that while I have not owned it for very long, I have had absolutely no trouble with this keyboard. The only quirk is that to turn it off, I have to set it to a different frequency so that my tablet does not keep looking for it, but otherwise, very easy to use (and not the keyboard's fault). It connects immediately, and was recognized by my tablet very quickly. Setup took less than 2 minutes, and the packaging was nice as well as the carry-case (just a cloth cover, but still nice to have!). Overall, I think this is a fine, well engineered product.

Unfortunately, though, I am returning it for two reasons. The first is that it is a little too small for my tastes. A small grip I have with the design (not the operation) is that the right shift key is too small, leading to me often being unable to find/press it. Furthermore, I have to type fairly slowly to not mistype, though I was getting better, and probably would get used to it fairly quickly.

The second reason is that I bought it for use with my tablet, but I came to realize after some use, that I would not really be doing enough typing on it to warrant a $40 keyboard. I do not do much typing (aside from online on my laptop like right now) anyways, and the tablet is more for media consumption than actual work as I can do most things much more quickly on my laptop. I rarely used the keyboard and cannot find a use for it.

Overall, I find it to be a well engineered product and would give it 5 stars based on operation. However, for my own use, I cannot justify such an expensive keyboard when the on-screen keyboard for my tablet (acer iconia a500) is good enough for the occasional typing. I give it four stars for this reason as I cannot see the need for such a small keyboard, but others may differ in their opinions on this.

As a final side-note. It works well on applications that allow external input for controls (games)! Also, for an android tablet, the esc key works as a back button, but the windows key or win+d does not work as a home button! =(, and the media keys all work too.

    ----------------------------- Update (Oct 23 2013) ----------------------------------

I actually did not end up returning it. I still have it. I don't use it too often, but it's handy when I need it. It's not had any issues so far, and held up well enough despite being at the bottom of backpacks a lot. I still think it's a little small for any serious typing tasks (programming, text editing, etc.), but for anything else where a keyboard is a must or even other things like a controller for games, it works well.

I was looking for another bluetooth keyboard to go with my laptops. I've started converting all of my dedicated 'tower' based machines to laptops as my requirements on specificity of hardware have gone down (and frankly the capabilities of laptops have gone up). I tend to have one dedicated laptop running previously a dual boot (but it's easier to run virtual machines on the newer fast quad cores) for work and gaming, I retired my old gaming box to take over for my *nix based server and I also have a dell 'duo' tablet I use as a little-bit-of-everything from a small portable laptop to a reader, alarm clock, media server, media player, photo frame, you name it!
I picked up a microsoft 6000 keyboard and number pad combo off someone on craigs list a few months back and absolutely love it as a dedicated external but the problem was, it wouldn't fit in the bag I had for the duo and I kept having to re-pair it between the *nix server and my duo tablet. Thus I wanted to get another one to use for the *nix machine which I don't have to access remotely very often.
I got to wondering if anyone ever did a multi-pair device and stumbled upon the various IOGear multi-links. I initially looked at one of the larger ones with the included touch pad as a possible replacement for the 6000 when at home, but I still would have been faced with the problem of the 6000 not fitting in the duo's bag. Then I saw this one. I knew the keys would be cramped, but I saw one other possible usage that just made me know I had to get it.
Not only does this one fit just perfectly in my little duo's bag's front pouch, but after pairing to my three systems, I had three profiles left over. I paired one to my cell phone (and I'm actually using this keyboard more often on my phone than any of the other three machines) and another to my computer at work just for the hell of it! One of the guys at work is thinking of getting one to use with his cell phone and his playstation now.
As I say, the keys are a tad scrunched but it is a far site better than the phone's keys. It comes with a nice, soft, carrying bag which comes in handy to prevent it from getting nicked up when shoving it in the laptop's bag. Because of the small footprint, there do seem to be a lot of (blue) Fn special keys that I'm still learning my way around, but some of them include the quick-launch style buttons along the function keys.
Overall this is a really slick little device and I've been recommending them to all my geekier friends. Genius! Pure genius, whoever thought this one up!

I was anxcious to receive this item for 2 reasons. I liked how it looked online and I needed it to use on a long trip I had to take a few days after reiving it.
It arrived and I did not even open it. Just put it in my carry on and opened it in the plane. To my surprise, there was a key missing which fell off the pouch after looking for it. It had to be broken even before sending it as the mechanism was broken as if someone had ripped it off.
Now I am travelling for a month abroad and had to buy another one with no chance to return it. I will see if I vcan get it serviced but twice the expense.
    So...Beware. Check thoroughly.

I love the layout and the ability of the device to pair with six different systems and switch between them. However this keyboard, at least for me, is just too small for productive use. I find that I can only type at around 25 wpm with this keyboard (without mistakes) as opposed to my normal 90-100. This is a huge limitation when buying the device purely to provide better typing performance than the touch screen (on which I can type mistake free at about the same speed).

This unit is quite good generally. The setup is quick, batteries are off-the-shelf (AAA), and the connection to multiple devices, which one can switch between using keystrokes, does in fact work and work well. The keys are smaller than I would like, but this doesn't mean much, my hands are fairly large and I type quite fast, I like the larger keys on larger keyboards as, for example, the Apple keyboard. The function keys are a bit smaller than other keys on the board. All that can be filed under user pref, though. Generally, a good keyboard, both for the price and in itself.
