I bought this as an alternative to a $300+ 18 foot HDMI cable. I had taken a class where the instructors used an 18 foot "name brand" HDMI cable to hook a laptop with DVD to a DLP projector. I wanted to do the same thing in my living room on my HDTV. This cable is perfect for it. 25 feet gives me plenty of play and you cant beat the price. I did have one advantage over some of the other negative reviewers though. Even with the high dollar "name brand" cable the establishing the connection between PC and TV was hit or miss. Plug, unplug, replug, change resolutions, change color depth, change refresh rates... finally it would lock in a connection, you could change all the settings back and everything worked beautifully. HDMI is more like a communications cable than an AV cable and I believe the longer the cable, it's harder for the devices to sync properly, but once they do $25/25ft easily beats $300/18ft!
