Crafted from stain-resistant, non-abrasive Silicone, the bowls resists odor and flavor absorption and can withstand heat up to 482 degrees F (250 degrees C).     I've been cooking for 40 years and don't know why I never thought to buy something like these little bowls. Most of the cookbooks I've used over the years didn't have many pictures, maybe that's why. Between the short cooking segments on the local news station and on-line cooking sites, I've recently started to notice the little bowls used to premeasure ingredients and add them as needed to recipes. I like to get all my ingredients ready before I start cooking and these should help. The Le Creuset bowls are well balanced and don't tip over easily. I've been using many silicone cooking utensils recently from jelly roll pans to spoons to oven mitts and like working with this material. I can't wait to use.

    I love these bowls. I occasionally use them for measuring when cooking, however one set is used to dole out milk for my cats in the morning! I can fill one bowl, and then pour from it into the others and make sure that I am not giving the kitties too much milk. We have a Keurig coffee maker and when the cats hear the noise of the coffee being made they magically appear in the kitchen! These bowls are great in the dishwasher - just throw them in the little 'basket' in the upper rack and presto! they are clean and ready to use again. I can not say enough wonderful things about these bowls..... except maybe to have more colors available?!??!

    I love & really hate looking at pictures of products on Amazon... They call these 'pinch' bowls for a reason. Just about a pinch of anything is all that'll fit in these. No really, only about 1-2 Tablespoons, full to the very top is all that'll fit. The bottom is too small, making it easy to tip over, top heavy really, which you can in retrospect, almost tell from the pictures.

    On the plus side, the colors are true and pretty. The silicone is pliable, easy to fold the edge for pouring & well molded. I bought these, of all things, to put on our cat 'tree' instead of using the cafeteria stoneware bowls to feed our cats. Feeding high keeps the dog out of open food but play sometimes results in broken bowls. I'd hoped silicone would do the trick. Once again, I hadn't seen these in person at a store and the on-line pic looked bigger than reality. I only needed about 4-6 oz size.

    I am using these for now for our 3 cats, who have delicate features so their faces fit in these bowls. But the bowls truly are easy to tip over with such a small bottom & the volume is ridiculously small. If you're cooking, you could only put one ingredient in these bowls, you really couldn't add spices together. I've never, ever cooked with all my ingredients pre-measured and laid out as though I'm demonstrating a cooking lesson so even this concept is over done for me. I'll still be looking for a replacement for the 4-legged family members. Ugh.

These would come in handy because they are silicone prep bowls (love my silicone kitchen items), especially for baking and stir-frying. Many things wouldn't stick because of the material.     It was probably silly to go Le Creuset on an item like this because being plastic, it automatically looks cheap so why bother with the markup? I'm satisfied with them though. They do the trick as prep bowls for spices and the like and are also a good size for dipping, like I'll put a side of ketchup or almond butter. When I use them for dipping, though, I find that there is a faint plasticy taste sometimes, just at the end when I drag an apple slice along the bottom to get the last of the almond butter. Since I don't think I've actually had to "pinch" them when using them for prep or anything I'd probably have been better off going with ones that were a harder plastic or glass rather than these soft/pinchable plastic ones.
