    This app looks great and has all the things needed to keep you accountable to a diet! It isn't a calorie counter or an exercise program it is for DIET planning and assisting! for those that can't find the 'preferrences' on the home screen to change to feet/inches they need to realize over 95% of the world uses the metric system.. the USA is the outlier.
    The app has lots of diet plans guides and the ability to change things if needed. It gives you a pocket assistant ra5her than writing everything down and shelling out big bucks for a nutritionist or dietitian... only need to consult family doctor. It looks to do what it says and "promote better lifestyle and eating habits"... plus No BS or adds. I think it is very clean cut and straight forward and can't wait to use it more!

    A program that is virtually useless. It counts no calories and proposes multiple diet plans based on strange concepts. Diet programs are like cleaning your body, crazy about fruits, feed your muscles, I feel good, loving fruits, soup lover, and salads are great.....

    If you touch an item on the menu sometimes it will tell you what it is and how to prepare it (Very general instructions). Sometimes it will tell you the portions and details, nutrition info and provide a list of possible replacement items to choose from. The app seems to do what it wants when it wants and I could not figure out the logic of the app.

    Finally after opening the app a dozen times it popped up with buttons for my diet, diet plans, graph, profile and weight entries.

    It asks that if you want to post to twitter you can download another Diet Assistant program to add into this app. When you download it the twitter portion overwrites the original app and will not run unless you add your twitter account information. When you uninstall the twitter portion you have to reinstall the diet app again. The pop up for twitter is a free gift! (just joking) If you don't tell it not to pop up it will continue.

    Permissions:
    * modify or delete the contents of your USB storage
    * full network access
    * prevent tablet from sleeping

    The app installed 1.9MB into my device memory and it is non transferable to my SD storage. So why does it have the permission to write to SD storage?

    My review is solely on recommendations for "High Protein" diet option. I follow a high protein, low carb, low GI, low fat diet. (Healthy version of Atkins or Dukan).

    It figures out your BMI easily. Of course there are numerous free apps that do that. For tracking weight & goals, I have used Libre - free and works great. This app isn't worth paying for weight tracking.

    For menu recommendations, there's no portion sizes or calorie guidelines. Portion-control is a HUGE part of most successful weight loss strategies. As the app asked for activity level, I was surpised the info wasn't asked to determine daily caloric intake.

    For Day 1, it recommended kiwi (high glycemic, high carb), carrots (high carb, high glycemic) & wheat toast (typically minimized for carbs). The "diet choice" didn't say high protein / low carb, but the majority of "high fiber" diets stay away from bread products.

    If you're genuinely a novice & want to lose weight, I guess you may find it of value. I prefer Sparkpeople (free), which can make meal recs (not as many diet options), or allows you to enter your own meals, log exercise, water intake, weight.

    Studies show people who log, keep track of their food intake lose more weight, faster & more successful long-term - so do something. This isn't worth $1.94. Uninstalled.

    I am allergic to seafood and was disappointed when I read that you couldn't set allergies. I decided to give the app a try anyway as my family enjoys seafood and I have to sustitute then anyway. After choosing a "diet" (they are really just weekly menus) I clicked on a seafood option and then you can see amounts, "recipies" (I use that term extremely loosly), nutrients, and an option to replace. When you click on replace it has a button at the top that says 'allergic to seafood' and will renove all seafood choices... from that meal only. For everything that you are allergic to (I only noticed it for dairy and seafood but I didn't click on every item) you have to select it in every day of every diet that you are going to use and replace it with something else. So, the option is there, if you don't mind having to go into each item you are allergic to and change it everytime that it appears.
    This app is really just one diet with different menus based on what you feel like eating that week. Each diet is one week of menus that focuses on one diet type, so if you don't know what type of diet works best for you this would be a good place to start to find out what type of diet works before buying the whole plan. Overall a decent app that helps you to figure out what diet will best suit you. And as long as you don't mind taking time to go into eah item that you are allergic to and change it everytime it appears, it is an okay app for people with allergies as well. It will save you money by not having to buy every diet plan out there just to give it a try flr a week and find out it doesn't work for you.

    Not sure what everyone is whining about. It takes your body type, allows you to select a diet, and makes a chart for your weight loss. The only thing wrong with it is that it advocates high carb dieting via the food pyramid. If you want to burn fat, you need to lower your carb intake!

    Auch wenn Amazon meint, jeder Deutsche muss Englisch können, ist diese Bedingung hier noch kein Gesetz. Gott sei Dank. Ich bleibe ohne jeglichen Hochmut und ohne die geringste Scham einfach bei meiner Sprache und alle scheinbaren Universal-Helden mögen sich an dieser App ergötzen. Sollen Sie sich mit Pounds und Inches befriedigen. Solche Programme sind für mich ohne Wert und Nutzen, auch wenn Sie nichts kosten.
