    I got both the Tandem and the gray jeans. They both had a nice fit and makes me look sharper. I'm 5'9 and weigh 179lbs. I'm a little on the chubby side and the 501, 505s don't fit me well. I like the 521 because it gives me room in the crouch and thigh area and the bottom is like the 511 slim jeans. I own the 511 in w36 and I bought the 521 in w34. The 521 looks much better and the tandem is a nice color. I will return the gray one due to a big weird looking wrinkle near the zipper...

    I've tried on the black one at macys and it is stretchy.

    I ended up exchanging the tandem due to a defect that I found. I hope to get the replacement soon. I purchased another pair of the 521 in the rigid color. I tried it on at macys a few months ago and it looked really good and classy. It's a color that looks good in a formal situation or night out with the guys.

    I got my two new jeans. The tandem and the rigid colors both came in good shape. I tried it on and it looks great. I recommend this for ppl who are not skinny but want to look good in jeans!

    I love the rigid color jeans but the tandem feels baggy now in the waist area (maybe it stretched?). If you're planning to get the Tandem color, get one or two sizes down.

    I measure 31 at waist. I brought 31 and it too baggy, I need to reduce it by 2.5 Inches at least for fit. Too bad, my other levis fit perfectly. Beside it made in colombia, not mexico.

    These jeans are my first Levi jean purchase ever. I was looking for a reasonably priced pair of jeans that had a slim fit from the knee down, but didn't fit tight in the other areas. These are the perfect of both worlds. The jean bottoms have a narrow opening of 14 inches or so, and now they don't drag on the ground. The seat and other areas are a little bit tighter that I"m use to, but I really like the overall fit.

    As for the comments on the "vanity" fit, I don't totally agree. I purchased two pairs of 36x30 (as I'm more like a 35x30) and they fit like any other jean in the waste. I even measured both pairs and they came out to 35 and 36 on the dot. Maybe when you buy the other sizes you have this issue, but I didn't have that problem. I guess the fact that one was an inch smaller proves the point, but I've found with ANY jean brand, no two pairs of the same size are actually the same size. When shopping at stores like Gap or Guess, you can hold up 3 of the same pairs and have slightly different sizes in each.

    Either way, I'd say order your size and return for a different size (with free returns).

    ***UPDATE *** 2/21/2012

    I came back online to order a couple more pairs of these jeans to see that they are now listed as Relaxed Fit Taper, 508. This had me worried. I found that Amazon still listed the 521 Slim Tapered elsewhere. I decided to do an experiment and order two pairs of the Tandem, one of the 508's and one of the 521's. They arrived and BOTH still read 521!!! I don't really understand why Amazon changed this to 508. As it turns out, one was much smaller than the other and I think it is a result of the tandum, which it appears runs larger (especially in the seat of the pants). I will return the 508's (or really just mislabeled 521's) and buy a different color of the 521's, which I have more faith in. Amazon really should clear this up, as this is sort of false advertising!

    I love the fit of these jeans. They're pretty much a cross between Levi's 511's and 514's. I like their 511's, but I always have to size up. And even then they're still too tight in the thigh area on some pairs. 514's are all right, but I don't like how loose they are at the leg openings. Too baggy in my opinion. The 521's are awesome, you get the skinny opening of the 511's with the roomier thigh area of the 514's.

    I'm 6'1", 185 and I got the Rigid Envy color in size 36x32. After washing and drying them they shrank to the perfect size. The color is great, too.

    This one needs alteration at the waist. I measure 34 at waist. I bought 32-30 and I need to reduce it by 1.5 Inches at least. All other Levis fit me perfectly. Everything else about this one is good. The fabrics, the color, the tapering, etc.. So buy one size down.

    This one does not hug your thighs. It is nicely slim towards the bottom. And it is stiff.

    These jeans have a great fit. I have a few pairs of 501's and a pair of black 521's. I liked these jeans, because they aren't too baggy nor do they have too much of a snug fit, but they are right in the middle of both. Very trendy and fashionable. You will turn heads with these jeans. A great edition to your closet. These jeans will elevate your swagg. :) After a 16-week class assignment about Levi's, that's really all I wear now. So with that being said, I have studied this brand extensively, and the quality is top-of-the -line. Levi's are durable, stylish (521's will give you that GQ look), and affordable. - JT.

    Liked how these looked in the picture and after I read some reviews I ordered 2" below my waist size (31) because it seemed the consensus was the waist ran too big on this line. Well, I am wearing them right now and while these 29s do fit at the waist (and I mean fit, not extra room), they are basically skin tight skinny jeans. Not like the picture. So, if you want a real tight pair of jeans, size down two inches. If not, maybe one inch is a better bet. Besides that, the jeans look great and the Rigid Envy is a great color.
