My tablet has a keyboard/dock with a USB port, so I plug the transmitter in there. No wires. That transmitter does not plug into the bottom of the mouse (I wasn't sure about that before purchasing), but I only intend to use this at home, in one spot, so it didn't need to transport easily, and no fear of losing it. The keyboard has the multi-function keys...I am able to adjust the volume and pause the music with those buttons, instead of having to navigate to the proper screens for that.
The mouse has the sensitivity I want...I use it on the arm of my sofa or recliner, and it doesn't shake or jitter, flows smoothly across the screen, and easy to stop where I want to. It shows a pointer on the screen, which I imagine is a feature of the tablet, but that is (obviously) helpful, too. I was concerned that the keyboard would not be standard size based on the description, but it is. It may be smaller than some keyboards out there, but it is not like a compact or laptop-sized keyboard...it feels normal sized to me, and I'm able to key with it just like any keyboard.
I decided against bluetooth based on battery life alone, but also, I already had a Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse with PS/2 connector from years ago, and it syncs flawlessly and quickly, and I have had some issues over the years with bluetooth devices syncing "flawlessly and quickly". I am happy with that decision. The only reason I could come up with for getting bluetooth is so that I could connect to a device that doesn't have a USB port, like the undocked tablet, or my smartphone, but I found an adapter from micro-USB to USB that should make it work on my smartphone, anyway.
Good luck, and wanted to help others, because this was a hard decision for me...I highly recommend this wireless keyboard/mouse.
Ian
The Mouse is a Logitech M210 bundled with the M260 keyboard. Both the keyboard and mouse worked right out of the box in both Windows and Linux, including the keyboard hotkeys. I was able to reassign the hot keys easily in linux. Over all the keyboard is smaller than what I am used to, and does seem slightly less durable than other keyboards I have used, but I didn't think I was going to break it. I was able to use both the keyboard and mouse about 12 feet away from the computer. The mouse was comfortable enough, and I had no trouble adjusting to the new keyboard.
So far (48 hours) I like it and would consider purchasing it again. I just have to see how long the batteries last.
For Linux Gnome users I selected "Logitech Cordless Desktop" in keyboard settings but it worked correctly before I made the change.
The Keyboard:
OSx recognized it soon as I plugged it in and I am using it to write this review right now. My biggest gripe is how it sits without the little feet extended. Most keyboards sit flat or angled towards to with the feet retracted, this is the only board I have ever encountered that actually faces away from you. It does not feel natural to me. They keys are what you could expect for a $24 wireless bundle kit. They remind me of typing on late 1990 Dell keyboards- it works but feels a little rough after coming from a silky smooth K800 board. My second gripe is the lack of any indication lights what so ever. This is a little too far in cost cutting in my opinion. I would trade the calculator pad and gray function buttons that do not work under OSx for a tiny LED indicator for caps lock. It makes typing computer code and passwords infuriating. One last complaint is the battery compartment hatch, the plastic turned white from stress the first time I opened it. It won't last long at all.
Now, for the plus sides. This board is pretty narrow, which is what I needed but probably irrelevant to the everyday user. It is only $24 and the wireless connection seems pretty solid. I can't think of anything else, it is a basic keyboard.
The Mouse:
I am very, very picky about mice. The one included is what you pay for. Not exactly a piece of junk, it works well for what it cost. The precision is to where selecting a line of text to high light is irritating because it over/under shoots just an every so tiny bit. The scroll wheel is also a little annoying coming from an M525. It reminds me of those old 90's microsoft mice, pretty bumpy. Ergonomically, it does not feel right but it will be fine to those who are not as picky as me. (I also have medium size hands) I am getting used to it though. I have not noticed any of that annoying choppyness cheap wireless mice usually have which is a huge plus for anyone.
Overall, for $24, I feel this product is worth 4 stars. I took a star off because of the tiny quarks of the keyboard such as the lack of indicator lights, stressed plastic, and funky ergonomics. If the price goes over $25, I would not recommend it all. Although this setup has a pretty good rating over all, keep in mind, it IS a $24 bundle. I would recommend it to most everyday users.

This item is very quiet and easy to use and battery life is said to be so much better. Hope this is so as I was constantly changeing batteries in my previous setup.
