Product Description
Introducing the first Bose Bluetooth headset that does what others cannot. The Bose Bluetooth headset lets you hear and be heard, even as noise levels change. It is engineered with proprietary TriPort acoustic structure and Adaptive Audio Adjustment, so voices sound natural and you can hear what is being said better than ever before. In addition, an exclusive noise-rejecting microphone combined with digital signal processing on the Bose Bluetooth headset allows you to be heard even when calling from a noisy environment.
From the Manufacturer
The first Bluetooth headset from Bose does what others can't: It lets you hear and be heard, even as noise levels around you change. No matter where you are--busy street, crowded lobby, airport terminal--your conversation won't suffer. The unusually light and compact headset, with its proprietary StayHear ear tip, also provides comfort and stability while you're on the go. And simple, intuitive controls make it easy to take calls.
Designed to fit comfortably and securely in your ear (see larger image). Advanced Bose technologies adjust volume to changing noise around you automatically, even in very loud environments (see larger image)."Can You Hear Me Now?" Yes. Finally.
The Bose Bluetooth headset dramatically reduces interruptions like "What?" and "Say it again?" from your mobile phone conversations. Finally, you're less likely to miss important parts of the call when background noise gets loud.
Bose advanced technology automatically senses noise around you and adjusts the headset volume accordingly. In a loud environment, the volume increases so you can hear your call. When things quiet down, the volume decreases. Either way, the listening level remains constant, even as noise conditions change. All the while, Bose TriPort acoustic structure ensures a natural voice quality, whatever the volume level.
Easy-to-reach, intuitive controls let you take and endcalls easily (see larger image). The Bose Bluetooth headset weighs less than
half an ounce (see larger image). Included in the box (see larger image).
You'll sound Better, Too.
The person on the other end hears you better as well. The headset's noise-rejecting microphone differentiates between your voice and background noise, and transmits more of you and less noise to the listener.
With technologies that accentuate voices over noise, the Bose Bluetooth headset allows for more natural-sounding conversations with less effort and frustration--at both ends of the line.
Comfortably Secure
Improved sound quality is just half the story. The Bose Bluetooth headset is also more comfortable than traditional Bluetooth headsets. Advanced design and materials enable the headset to stay securely--and comfortably--in place. The soft, StayHear silicone tip, customized for the right ear, distributes contact over a greater area inside the ear, avoiding known pressure points. As a result, the headset stays in your ear without being too tight. No uncomfortable ear hook needed.
Easy to Use On the Go
The Bose Bluetooth headset is especially easy to use, with no complicated button codes to remember. There are separate buttons for power, volume and call send/end, all conveniently located on the top and bottom edges of the headset. And every action, from taking and ending calls to putting the headset on or taking it off, can be accomplished easily with one hand--important while you're driving or on the go.
Key Features
- Adaptive audio adjustment technology automatically adjusts headset volume depending on surrounding noise: a constant listening level is maintained as the user moves between quiet and loud environments.
- Noise-rejecting microphone filters out noise around you, allowing the person on the other end of the call to hear more of your voice.
- TriPort acoustic structure ensures natural-sounding voice quality and allows for louder volume in noisy environments.
- Three sizes of StayHear removable silicone tips (S, M and L) increase stability with a comfortable, personalized fit for the right ear. No need for an ear hook.
- Rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 4.5 hours of talk time and 175 hours of standby time per charge.
- Battery indicator shows battery status from green to amber to red. Complete recharge takes 3 hours.
- Answer/end call button makes it easy to answer and end calls with a simple pinch that won't dislodge the headset. Also enables pairing with your Bluetooth phone.
- Power slider switch lets you easily turn headset power on (green) or off (red) one-handed, with a quick slide of the switch.
- Wall and USB chargers provide two options for charging the headset battery.
- Carrying case protects headset during transport and storage.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 28, 2011I've been looking for a while for a good solution. I need an earplug or headphones to use both with Skype and with my BlackBerry. This product just works since the very first moment you open it. Off course if you need to talk a lot like me....you probably need to have 2, since the battery can last maybe 2 hours in conversation.
Although this headset can easily switch between 2 devices, it cannot actually switch from phone to Skype so in order to make it work you need to do that manually; that means turning off the phone bluetooth, enabling the computer bluetooth and viceversa.
Very nice the feature that allows you to fit it right into your ear without uncomfortable, annoying and delicate external pieces/ "hangers". It comes out already with 3 different attachments for big, medium and small ear.
One thing I personally didn't like: it's only for Right ear, that means that if you like to talk with your left ear that will be impossible, but to me, getting used to it, is a good compromise in order to get real BOSE audio quality.
Also the noise reduction is amazing. This headset actually has a second microphone in order to recognize any "external" sound and delete it from the sound wave.
Anyway I believe I will also buy a bigger headset from Plantronics ( which is another good brand for headsets, I know that for sure since I used to work in a call center with hundreds of them ) just not to worry about battery life during my very long video conferences meetings.
In conclusion I believe this is the best product ever for it's category and I also believe that the price is fair for it's quality.
I would buy it again with no doubts. Then again I would really fall in love with it if they did a new version for left handed folks like me.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 24, 2011The original review follows this up date:
Rarely have I experienced a company take complete accountability for their actions positive or negative. In this case after reading my initial review concerning excessive RMA time and shipping, Bose contacted me directly. An apology was offered with a commitment to resolve the issue and keep me as a customer "that's great" yet it was the attitude of the relations department and their motivation to work with me and create a learning opportunity for themselves that was impressive. That level of personal accountability on the part of a large company is rare if at all existent in today's market. This is the hallmark difference between the public and privately held corporations. Bose is privately held and depends not on shareholders options to buy or sell stocks for profit and worth, rather on the customer experience as a measure of success. In this case my experience was below the acceptable standard set by Bose and myself without a doubt, and nothing can change that, however in the end it was the honesty of "we can't fix what happened, we will do our best to make it right with you, and will you help create a learning opportunity from the situation," that really got my attention and earned my respect. I'm still holding a star back from the rating because it was not earned however after receiving the new headset I realize Bose has held that same great quality of product I knew back when I bought my first pair of 901 Speakers. The sound is near perfect and the product just plain works! Thanks Bose!

"Words cannot describe how bad customer service is"
"I really wanted to like this product however it was a total failure right out of the box. Using Droid X it would connect only after several failed attempts at pairing and no devices found, would not stay connected, battery time was around 5 minutes even after a full night charge, would disconnect after calls end the connection would stay open and you could hear static. Bose sent an RMA and shipping label I sent the unit back and 12 days later still no replacement. I should note that if you buy this keep everything Bose requires shipment of all materials in that came with the unit not just the unit, so don't lose that extra earpiece that does not fit, now after twelve days and a phone call they tell me the replacement will ship but it will take 6-9 days ground to get it. I really hope the next one is better this one is hopefully a random defect. The short time it did work the sound quality was better than my previous Jawbone or Plantronics though!"
- Reviewed in the United States on July 13, 2011I was beginning to lose hope on behalf of all humanity. After over a decade of development, the industry failed to produce a bluetooth headset that actually works. I have tried more bluetooth headsets than I should have ... than any consumer should have. The only "high end" bluetooth brand I have not owned is Jawbone.
Here was my problem list in order of decreasing annoyance:
- Poor sound quality, both inbound and outbound: I would always hear a crackling sound in the background. Listeners on the other side would think I was underwater. The sound quality was never acceptable ... unless I was talking to my in-laws, where it did not matter.
- Non-intuitive controls: Using voice dialing was usually a struggle. Double clicking required perfect timing. On/off was 2-6 sec button press, etc etc.
- Poor connectivity to device: One of my headsets would keep reconnecting to my iPhone every 2 minutes for no good reason. Others would get into a weird pairing state and would have to be reset.
- Fit: This has been one area where most hedsets did surprisingly well for me. There were a few though that were not so great.
Bose seems to have hit the mark on each one of these.
- Call sounds great. The headset has amazing audio quality. My voice is back out of the water. When AT&T doesn't suck, conversations are landline quality.
- Controls are so easy. I love the physical on/off slider. This was a great decision!
- Device setup was a breeze! It also has multipoint setup which I liked about my old blueant.
I have been using it for a few days and I have to say, a more perfect headset would have to be implanted in, well, my head.
