  The MFC-5490CN prints both documents and photos at up to 6000 x 1200 dpi and can reach speeds of up to 35 ppm black and 28 ppm color. The printer supports paper sizes up to legal size (8 x 14 inches), and has a large 150-sheet input tray so you won't have to constantly add more paper. It uses separate ink cartridges for each color so you only replace the color that runs out.

  You can also print photos directly from the printer without using your PC thanks to the PhotoCapture Center. You can import photos directly using either the built-in media card slot or by connecting a PictBridge-enabled camera or USB flash memory.
