Yes, I did read that it is the head ONLY! as some folks did not. We have a nice homemade handle made from a tree limb and it fit very well. It has metal tines that feel pretty sturdy.
This is disappointing. I'm one of several people who didn't pay attention to detail and missed the part that said "head only". The display picture really should be changed. It's not accurate to what is being sold. The rake head is fine, but If I were someone interested in buying this, I'd buy from company that doesn't confuse their customers and doesn't walk the fine line of false advertising.
Light weight and sturdy. Excellent for raking leaves, but the tines could be thinner to allow it to reach more deeply into the grass if you're going to be thatching.
Tines started to break at the plastic horizontal brace across the rake. At first it was one, then two, etc now half the rake is gone. The tines are breaking at the same place and it obviously from metal fatugue. I am going to post a picture cause its a sad rake, so sad :( The search for a good rake continues!
When I ordered this product the picture showed a full rake with the handle. Yes it said at the top Head Only but that was not what my search was for and when I saw the picture I thought it was for the whole rake/handle. I really didn't want to spend this much for a rake but since I thought it was like some I had purchased before I ordered two of them. They came today without the handles. I was very upset and when I went back to look at my order it said, Head Only. Yes that's my mistake but they should not have had a picture with the handle attached to it. I am very upset that this even came up in my search. I am not Don but his wife so it was my mistake not his.
