I'm using it with a Motorola Razr Maxx phone. The phone has a Seidio Active case with a kickstand Seidio CSK3MTRMK-BK ACTIVE with Metal Kickstand for Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX - 1 Pack - Retail Packaging - Black. The kickstand has until now been a fairly useless feature for me. But with the keyboard, it is absolutely perfect for editing documents in Google Drive (formerly Google Docs). The special function keys are pretty predictable and seem to work well. I was thrilled to see that Alt+Tab makes it a breeze to switch between recent apps (ie between Drive, email, messaging, etc)- quicker and easier than from the touch screen. There are media keys which appear to control the built in google music app (I'd like to figure out how to get it to control Spotify or my preferred mp3 app, PowerAmp). I have thought a couple of times that I'd like to have a mouse or touch pad (I'm too cheap to pay double for the version with the slide out touch pad). I could probably easily use one of my Bluetooth mice, but I've realized that this channels my focus to exactly what I intended this for: writing. The "limitation" keeps me from being drawn to all of the other distractions which are ever-present on the web and in all of my various time-sucking apps. If I want full keyboard and mouse control over a UI, I might as well be sitting at my laptop. In that way, this gives me EXACTLY what I needed!

Pairing the keyboard with the Razr for the first time was a little troublesome. The factory default is supposed to pair with android devices, and you can switch to default HID settings to pair it to a computer. I was unable to pair to my phone (android 4.04) with the default settings. It kept telling me something about invalid passkey, but never gave me the opportunity to enter one. So I figured I'd try the keyboard with my laptop. To do that, you hold the V,A, and R keys while powering on to change to HID mode (N,E,W + Power to reset to default). But before trying it with my computer, I decided to try it with my phone in the default HID mode. What do you know? It Worked! Since then, no issues. Some have indicated flakey connectivity. I've had exactly one disconnect so far, and it was when I was moving from one part of my house to another, and I have numerous other Bluetooth devices. Remember, this is RF wireless. Interference happens.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2012NOTE for Evo View 4G / Flyer owners: When you try to pair, the pop-up box with the connection code appears and disappears almost immediately and then results in an "incorrect code", so it's impossible to pair.
The trick is to pair in "PC Mode". That is, hold the keys V, A, and R while turning on the keyboard. This will allow you to pair, but unfortunately, almost all of the Android-specific keys will not work as expected or won't work at all. For example, Home acts like a PC keyboard for Home (moving to the beginning of the line), rather than going to the homescreen; the multimedia keys do nothing; etc.
My brother has the Acer Bluetooth Keyboard and that one worked just fine with my tablet, including all of the Android-specific keys.

On to the review of the keyboard itself:
Aside from that issue, this keyboard is actually pretty great. It's very thin, light, has a small footprint, and works very well. Typing on it is a joy paired to my Evo View 4G and I can bang out a long email with ease and comfort.
A BIG plus for me also is that it uses AA batteries, so it never ever has to be plugged to charge (for example, if it had an internal battery). I have rechargeable AA's, so I can swap them out, recharge, and swap again when necessary.
That being said, I have owned this keyboard for 5 weeks so far and have yet to change the batteries. Battery life seems to be pretty great. I don't consider myself a "heavy" user, but I have had it paired to my tablet for multiple sessions of 6+ hours at a time. And I have never experienced the keyboard disconnecting on me, even if I haven't touched the keyboard or tablet for 30+ minutes.
I got this tablet used from the Amazon Marketplace to save $10 or so and I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase. Great price for a great keyboard, especially used. The only reason it gets 4 stars is because of the pairing issue mentioned above. Again, if anyone knows of a solution, please post, and then this keyboard will get a perfect 5 stars!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2014I know, I know, this is meant to be used on a tablet, most likely. But I wanted a keyboard for my Moto X, since it supports HID bluetooth. So here it is. The function keys, I feel, are very smartly set up. You have your volume keys, quick launch keys, forward/back and home keys. You even have some keys that aren't normally in Android, but can still be used, such as the CTRL and ALT keys. I use it to take notes in my Mobisle Notes program, and even to play my C64 emulator. The reaction time on it is pretty good and actually makes emulators usable, more so than just relying on the touch-based screen controllers.
As for the feel, it feels much like the bluetooth iMac keyboard. In fact, it will work with a Mac or PC, so long as it's bluetooth compatible, except the keys don't include the Windows or Mac special keys.
It has those nice smooth chicklet type keys. The keyboard is almost precisely the same size as my iMac wireless keyboard, and almost the same layout, too. The keys are smooth to the touch, with just enough texture to feel satisfying and substantial when you type. Just the right amount of resistance.
When I use mine, I occasionally am playing music with a worship group, and when I'm done playing, I'll just tip my music stand back a little, and put my keyboard up on the bottom of the stand, propping my cell phone up on top of it. Works great, and is almost as good for such purposes as would be a laptop. But it's also pretty much future proof, too, because when I do get a tablet, I can use this for full-blown office apps, rather than using some corny screen keyboard.
Thanks Motorola, for a great add-on!

5.0 out of 5 stars Just bought my third one, great with Android
Just bought my third OEM Bluetooth Motorola keyboard and they all work great. I keep two at home, carry one in my bag and use them all with my Nexus 4 smartphone. Could only dream of a general purpose, handheld internet computer ten years ago and now I have one. But people are still amazed when they see me use this keyboard with my phone instead of a bulky laptop. It is not only lighter and thinner but also much more convenient and comfortable to use than any congested laptop keyboard. My personal preference is to prop my phone up landscape-wise on a folding cell phone stand with the keyboard behind it. It is quick and simple to pair with the Android phone (after maybe a couple of tries;) and there is no conflict between them in my phone's Bluetooth settings. With Bluetooth running I just turn any one of them on and it connects. The on-screen keyboard then slips out of sight and this replaces it for all programs and apps, including menus and screen navigation. They run on two "AA" batteries and with daily use think I've needed to change them once in three years in the oldest of the three. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Motorola Atrix Wireless keyboard and mouse
Fantastic slim design, very nice build quality.
This keyboard was bought to go with the Motorola Xoom,at the full price I would say it is over priced but at the knock down amazon price it gets 10/10.
