Having trouble deciding between Seidio's screen protector and the other well-known competitors (Zagg's InvisibleSHIELD, SGP's Steinheil)? I recently purchased this product after carefully comparing reviews on both Amazon.com and Droid Incredible fansites...I have to say, this product definitely met my expectations for a high quality screen protection solution at a reasonable price. Contrary to InvisibleSHIELD, I noticed little to no change in drag and finger resistance when using the touchscreen. My screen remains just as touch sensitive as it originally was. It's smooth, and also extremely clear; there is no orange hue or fine vertical lines you might see with the competition. Many of my friends had a hard time believing that there was a screen protector on the display at all. I think Zagg's product is a worthy competitor because they offer lifetime replacements. I haven't tried a Steinheil; I imagine the product to be just as good as this.

Installation was easy. Take heed, however: as many people on the product page have said, you will be thankful that the package comes included with two protectors. Before applying the protector, I imagined that doing research on how to put the product on would serve me well. I somehow still messed up. I suppose with my luck and clumsiness, it's to be expected. The first protector I put on I put on backwards. I realized this because immediately after installing it, I noticed how much drag and stickiness the screen had. I couldn't get any of the air bubbles out. The included cleaning cloth put dust all over the screen, and the applicator card actually scratched off some of the protector's top layer. This was when I knew I had applied the protector on backwards. I quickly took it off and applied the second protector, cognizant of the mistake I had just made.

Apply the protectors from the bottom of the screen upwards. If you mess up, slowly and carefully lift the protector off the screen and reapply it. The best guideline you have is the optical touchpad. Use this as reference for lining up the screen protector. Apply the rest of the protector by slowly work your way up the phone's screen. As you lay down the protector, squeeze out any bubbles by applying pressure to the applicator card, pushing the bubbles out toward the edges. I was surprised at how quick the application took. When about half of the protector has been applied, you can pretty much eyeball the rest of the protector.

My biggest concern with applying the protector was of course the dust. Thoroughly cleaning the screen is a must. Use a barely damp paper towel to start. Someone who reviewed the product had suggested leaving the shower on; I'm not sure exactly how this affects the amount of dust in the air... I applied the protector in a steamy bathroom and saw just as much dust falling from the sky as I would have had I been in another room. I constantly had to use the cleaning cloth, my own microfiber cloth, and my breath to clean the bare screen. Within the blink of an eye, another speck of dust would fall down. It was easily the most stressful part of the whole process. I eventually found myself wiping off the rest of the bare screen continuously as I slowly applied the protector. You can easily hover over the Droid Incredible with your hand if you're really paranoid about the dust getting through. If you don't have a can of pressurized air available, blowing on the screen works just as well.

Overall, I love the quality and protection this product offers. Simply put, you can't tell the product is on your device unless you scrutinize the edges of your phone screen. Using the screen feels natural and quite responsive. If I had to be brutally honest, the only difference I noticed with this screen protector on is how it changed the luxe feel given with the bare screen. However smooth the protector may be, it feels like gliding your finger over plastic. Excellent, high quality, scratch-protecting, ultra-clear plastic. Sans protector, the screen feels like strongly built glass. This is the only sacrifice I've noticed, and it's a little one at that. All else is exactly everything I could've asked for from a screen protector.

I bought this screen just to try out a different screen. It is my 3rd different protector I have used and by far my least favourite. The first use in comparison to the SGP Steinheil Crystal Clear is SO MUCH BETTER, BUT the overall useage after a couple of weeks is garbage imho. It was scratched after 4 or 5 days and it gets dirty with smudges and other crap on the daily not to mention the applicator is came with sucks. I had to use the SGP applicator because it was stiffer and did a better job. If I was going to buy another screen protector I would pick the SGP Steinheil Crystal Clear, it is sticky as first but over time it gets so damn smooth and it's such a better protector. I would still have if I didn't apply it like crap the first time.

UPDATE: I've had this for a few months and decided to give it the full 5-stars. After banging around in my pockets for all of this time, you still can't tell there's a screen protector on the phone unless you look very closely. My wife's got in a fight with her keys and it did it's job protecting the phone's screen with only a minor blemish. I bought another pack anticipating that I'd need to replace these every so often, but so far they're sitting in my desk. Very good product.

I just applied these to my and my wife's new droid incredibles. Being our first smartphones, this is a first for me, but it was fairly straight forward to apply the screen protectors using some of the advice in these reviews. It took about 5-7 minutes. Here is what I did...
    1) fogged up the screen with my breath, and wiped it down with soft cotton cloth to remove fingerprints and smudges.
    2) sprayed a little bit of glass cleaner on a paper towel (not on the phone!) and wiped it down until completely dry to remove all oils.
    3) Using a previous review's advice, I used a piece of scotch tape to carefully remove all of the tiny dust and fiber particles left by the paper towel. Do this carefully, because I think these particles are the main source of nagging bubbles. More on that later.
    4) I used two pieces of tape along the long edge of the screen protector to peel it off from it's backing and then to apply it to the phone. I used the tape to avoid getting any oils from my fingers under the edge of the protector. Take your time getting everything lined up. If you don't get it quite right, just peel the plastic back a bit and re-align... since this "sticks" using static rather than adhesive, re-aligning is quite easy. If you have any "land locked" bubbles away from the edges of the phone, peel it back a bit and re-try. I suspect these are the bubbles that are tough to remove.
    5) Use the included credit card to smooth out any air bubbles along the edges. This takes a few minutes to look really good.
    6) I ended up with one really stubborn bubble near the left edge of my phone, but when I looked very closely, I could see that a tiny fiber had managed to get past me. I used a piece of tape to peel back the edge about 1/2 an inch, and used another one to "grab" the fiber. Bubble gone!

I then did the same thing with my wife's phone and it was even easier the second time. I give only 4 stars because there are two hardly noticeable spots (I wouldn't even call them bubbles) that would not quite smooth out. Same locations on both phones. One is just to the right of the speaker and one just below the main button. This is a very minor gripe and less meticulous people would not even notice these. Anyway, highly recommend.
