The fleur-de-lis symbol is more than just a beautiful trend. This regal emblem has a rich history and a timeless elegance. The graceful shape of the "flower of the lily" defines these beautiful dangle earrings, crafted from 14 karat white gold and decorated with faceted marquises of rich blue topaz and sparkling diamond accents. The blue topaz stones are held in bezel settings with delicate milgrain edging. There are four topaz stones and 20 petite diamonds (.072 cttw) altogether in this lovely pair. They present on curved wires with leverback closures.

    The earrings are delicately made with pale blue stones against the white gold. The lever back construction keeps me confident they are secure. I like the size and the free-flow way they dangle from my earlobes. You need a magnifying glass to visualize the diamonds, however I love the look and weight and sparkle of these earrings so much, I have to give them five stars anyway. I find myself wearing blue more often so I can wear these earrings.

    I expected quality jewelry that had been discounted on a holiday sale. Instead I received cheap-looking pieces of jewelry labeled "Made in China!" Most articles I've read on the subject state explicitly that China is not to be trusted in the jewelry market. They pass articles off as silver, diamond and topaz. They look like silver, diamond and topaz to the layman. But take them to a jeweler to have them appraised and you're in for a surprise. I don't want a surprise at the jeweler. I wanted to surprise my wife!

    Beside that, I spent twenty-one years in the Army defending against communism. It just, plain goes against my grain to contribute to the economy of a communist country. For that reason alone, I would not recommend anyone buy this item. I'm returning these earrings.

    I recommend Amazon add a "Made in _______" space in all their ads in the future to reduce returns and customer frustration.
