This peanut butter does not require the rigorous stirring that natural nut butters do when the oil separates and rises to the top. Using hydrogenated oil in the nut butters kept this separation from occurring but consumer demand has wrought a change in nut butters - no more hydrogenated oils. Instead, this butter has palm oil - 15 grams of fat per 2 tablespoons with (3 grams of saturated fat), 200 calories with 130 from fat. I like this peanut butter although it states that it is natural, it is not made from organic peanuts. I read a book, Diet for a Poisoned Planet, which listed peanuts as one of the most toxic crops when pesticides are used since the shells tend to retain the pesticide thereby contaminating the nut. I recommend this peanut butter if you are not concerned with organic versus natural distinctions.

We've been looking for a peanut butter without all of the preservatives and finally found Sunland. Even my wife who's never been a fan of peanut butter is eating it regularly for the taste and protein it provides. Great taste, just enough sweetness and very smooth. While it says 'no stir', it's still best to give it a stir for the best consistency. You cannot find this product in a lot of stores probably due to the competition on the market.
