    This is the fourth pair of Saucony Hurricane's that I've owned -- I had version 7, 9, 11 and now 12! I first purchased them at a running store when they evaluated my walk and said that I over-pronate (my feet collapse inwards when I walk, creating stress on my knees and hip joints). The Hurricanes offer maximum stability and support for people like me, and they (along with custom orthotics) have helped me through a two-year long recovery from knee surgery after a sports injury.

    The Hurricanes fit me well because I have a triangle shaped foot -- wide toe spread with a narrow heel. Most shoes are too tight in the toes and too loose in the heel -- case in point, the Asics Gel Resolution for tennis, which I really wanted to love because tennis is now my main sport and they were highly reviewed! Unfortunately, they just didn't fit. In contrast, for my foot, the Hurricanes are absolutely perfect, and also true to size (I wear a 7 and buy a 7 1/2 to allow space for my orthotics). I LOVE being able to buy shoes every year without even trying any new shoes on!

    I noticed that this version, the 12, seems "plusher" than earlier versions -- very cushiony, which is fine with me. Over time they have tended to get less cushiony, and with my 3-5x/week workout schedule, they last just about one year before the treads are worn down, they're losing their shape, and my feet are starting to hurt after long workouts.

    The best evidence for my positive review: I put these on, new straight from the box, and proceeded to play a 3-1/2 hour, very strenuous tennis match on a hard court. I felt zero discomfort, had no blisters, and no foot/knee/hip pain of any kind. Awesome!

    Delighted my order arrived on time as speciffied in time for my race! Perfect condition and I plan to order another pair. Extra support for my pronating feet and I've never had any problems with this model. They give me the support I need for my knees as well. Heavier than the new model but I ran a marathon and survived in these so I can't go wrong. Great price for a quality running shoe.

    I recently purchased these shoes on Amazon in the teal shade. I had previously been wearing Asics 2150s, which needed replacing. Let me say that I really love the Hurricane 12s! I was fitted for the Asics at a local store and while I think they got the type of shoe that I need right, I must say that I never loved the Asics. I had issues with my feet cramping, but thought that I had tied my shoes too tight. It wasn't until I went looking for some new shoes that I saw other reviewers mentioning the foot cramps with their Asics, too. I am not bashing Asics as I know they have loyal followers, but they simply were not for me. The Hurricanes have been very comfortable and cushioning for my runs. Note, I enjoy running 3-4 miles approx. 4-5 times a week and these shoes have been great right out of the gate. For those wondering, I usually wear a 7 in street shoes, but ordered an 8.5 in these. My Asics were also an 8.5...so my feet apparently need the extra space when I run. As far as price, Amazon was the best. I ordered these as the 13s were just coming out, so the price on the 12s was dropping. Amazon definitely beat out stores and other online sites, especially since I got free shipping. The gray/teal is okay. I am not a fan of white shoes, so the gray is nice and the teal is relatively light. With the price that I got and my need for new shoes, I was not going to worry too much about how the shoes looked.

    These running shoes are awesome! after reading a bunch of reviews on these shoes my mind was made up! I heard about these shoes being good but I never had them before and I could not find them locally so I came here to amazon where my husband buys lots of stuff, once I opened the box I liked the way they looked, I run about 3 miles a day and of all my running shoes (which all have some discomfort issues) but right out of the box these were REAL comfy, Saucony you have a new customer!
