    The pressure cooker part doesnt seem to do a very good job. I have had pressure cookers in the past and it seems to need a lot more time... I havent used the slow cooker yet.

    Thus far I am pleased with this pressure cooker. I have only used it a couple of times, but seems to work well. I have only used the pressure cooker feature and not the browning or slow cooker functions. As many have noted, the cooking time does not start until it reaches pressure which can take as long as 20 minutes. BUT, once you put the food in, set the timer, you can just walk away allowing you to do other things which is nice.

    I love, love, love this pressure cooker. I have used the more common pressure cookers for many years. I don't miss the hissing/rattling noise with the regular pressure cooker or the steam it lets out. This one is sooooo quiet and soooo quick. Everything is better - meat more tender and moist - veggies have more taste and texture - soups are fantastic, etc. etc. I could go on all day about how great this item is - I will NEVER use a regular pressure cooker again..... Every kitchen should have one. I just ordered one for a wedding present and I know she will love it as much as I do.

    This is my first pressure cooker, so I guess I can't compare it to any others. However, from what I've read a pressure cooker should do, this one does it well. Every time I make a meal in it I marvel at how super fast it comes out, and how tender everything is. In less then 30 min (including time it takes to get everything in there and to build up pressure) I've cooked a whole chicken that came right off the bone when I tried to pull it out. Also I've made banana bread and bread pudding with it using the add on desert trays you can buy, and got great reviews from everyone. It's great to cook up vegetables really quick and even better for soups. I'm currently looking to buy another one of these for a wedding gift, as I think every woman should have one in her kitchen!

    What can I say, it's fantastic! I've used other pressure cookers in the past, and this tops them all. And the price! So reasonable! I've even got my boyfriend making dinner with it! Also, buy Bob's cookbook, "Slow Food Fast". It's a great compliment to the machine.
