    It arrive on time. It seems like a good product. Whistle was loud, compass seems to work pretty good & the thermometer was iffy. I never fully left it out to see if it worked and I honestly can't remember if it was ferenheit or celcius. Either way I bought 4 of these for my kids and I feel comfy enough to trust it if needed.

    I ordered two of these whistles for me and my girlfriend to keep with us while backpacking. I received the whistles about a month after ordering them. The whistles are equipped both with a compass and a thermometer (which is Celcius by the way, not Farenheit). On both of my whistles, neither the compass nor the thermometer work correctly. The actual whistle works just fine but the compass on both whistles point to random locations (neither of them correct) and the thermometers are both incorrect. I didn't expect this to be a top quality product since it was an 'add on' with a low price but come on.... both of them are bad.

    Average quality product that can get the job done when need be. Whistle appears very bulky because of the attached compass, so it's not something you'd necessarily be proud to wear in front of people. But it is definitely a neat little piece to have in a hiking bag for emergencies. Whistle can be loud and the compass is OK. Do not expect a highly functioning navigation compass for the price you are paying. Lanyard gets the job done, again with the expectation that you won't be using this whistle as daily as a P.E. coach would.

    Might make a cool little trinket for a young child who you are taking camping or likes the outdoors.

    Does what it's supposed to for the price your paying. Glad I have it in my trail bag.

    Yes, I know it's cheap. It didn't break the bank. But when the item comes to me broken (the thermometer dial was not glued on) I have to shake my head. Obviously it's easily fixable.

    As for the quality of the whistle... it whistles nicely. The compass is actually better than I expected. It isn't expensive (obviously) so you have to tap it a couple times and make sure it is spinning freely, but once it is it points north.

    I was about to give this three stars for having the thermometer not attached and also for the thermometer being broken... but then I realized the thermometer was in celsius and was working fine, I just wasn't paying close enough attention, haha. So that works too.

    I know it's cheap... but quality control should be important on ANY product. Minus one star for having to glue it back together myself. Otherwise, great value for the price.

    Compass is pretty weak, gets stuck easily, and even fiddling with it for a while will only gives you a rough idea which direction is probably north.

    Thermometer is terribly inaccurate, reporting 15C degrees after several hours outside, when it was actually 4C. The air bubble is very irritating, always blocking exactly what you want to see.

    Whistle works okay, but it's large, and the pea rattling around is much noisier than I expected. I was much happier after purchasing this other whistle:

    Me,I have a couple of compasses already, whistles too, and plenty of lanyards. So, why did I buy this??? Just to have another one as a back up. Look, so small it doesn't take up any space. Need the space, wear it around yer neck. You have the whistle, and the compass to let ya know what direction to blow the whistle in, LOL. Hey, not bad at all, and something else, you can also take along a sense of humor, it takes up no space at all.

    The whistle works really good. It comes with a thermometer and compass, one on each side. Mine came with the thermometer detached to the whistle I had to glue it together. Other than that, the whistle works good, the compass works good, the thermometer works good.
