- Reviewed in the United States on March 9, 2013I'm truly in awe over here! For around 50 bucks, I have a fancy PC gamer case that I can actually show off to folks! A light, feature filled case such as this one would normally cost upwards of 90 dollars. For such a cheap case, it performs like it's worth twice the price!
It's all glossy painted black and sleek design. It's really nice to look at; I can't stress that enough. It has a slick blue LED fan in the back and a plexiglass side window (mini-sized) that lets you get a peek at the internals. Maybe not as big a side window as some other cases, but the smaller footprint allows for easier cable management. That's a good thing, IMO. With the smaller window, the case can hide your wiring without too much hassle.
Bottom mounted PSU cases are slowly becoming more common; this one is easy and very secure. There is a V-clamp inside to hold the PSU steady, along with a top guard railing to slide it under. The inside of the case is quite roomy and looks to fit a decently large GPU in there without problems. Also, you never appreciate the tedious nature of mounting hard drives until you get screwless drive bays to work with. I don't think I can ever go back to setting mounting brackets; they seem almost ancient to me now.
I'm also really liking the sleek aluminum body too. The case feels sturdy and solid while being quite lightweight. It doesn't feel budget at all. It has great rubber feet with solid clearing; looks like about 4/5 a inch of clearing from the surface it sits on. Your PSU should get great ventilation by default. I can't really think of any negatives to level against this case - I feel like I got myself a great deal here. And I would recommend this case to any budget-minded gamer looking to upgrade their setup. I gotta give up a 5 star rating for this thing - it's total class.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 27, 2014Depending on how you want to use this case, it is either a magnificent structure to house your computer components, or it will make a great clothes closet for a troll. If you are a gamer, wanting to master the latest shoot-em-up with a high power power supply (not included in my purchased model), you are going to need to spend a heck of a lot more money on case and peripheral fans and cooling devices. If, however, you are building a family or small office business desktop, this just might be the perfect case.
I obtained and inherited a whole bunch of spare computer parts, so I decided to build a linux "frankenstein." This case was perfect for a generic linux desktop, housing many sizes (micro, mini, and standard) logic boards, power supplies, and ample spaces for 3.5" hard disks and CD-DVD machines. Airflow is adequate for general use with one large case fan and plenty of pre-drilled openings for additional fans (which you will need if you are a gamer). Light weight, screwless, this would have gotten a five star rating except for:--
The 3.5 hard drives are secured by a plastic mechanism that secures the drives to the case. The case is quite sturdy, and there is very little wobble to the hard drive enclosure. In most cases, it takes a little bit of effort to slide the hard drives into their mounting slots, insuring that the mounting holes and frames are flush with the supporting sides; but in those cases where there is a little slack, the side wall supports must be pushed in a little bit to flush up tp the hard drives sides; and if this is not done completely, the little plastic pins that go into the screw holes in the hard drive case will either not engage or will miss the hard drives screw holes completely. Press a little harder and - snap - the entire securing mechanism cracks or breaks rendering it useless and the "screwless" design now requires two standard hard drive securing screws.
All in all, though, this is nicely function computer case that works well for it's intended use, depending upon the demands placed on it, and thereby might require some additional fans to retain its usefulness. As a standard desktop case? Highly Recommended!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 11, 2014The case is nice especially for the price but sad to say the quality is bad after about a month one of the legs fell off even though I only move it to clean and the fans it comes with are really load
- Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2012Replaced NXZT Gamma case with this one. Any time I opened the NZXT I told myself I had to get a new case. Finally bought this one, and am glad I did. Very simplistic design, no bells and whistles. Just a good solid case. It was a breeze transferring all components to this case. Plenty of room for my MSI R6950 Twin Frozr III 1G/OC Radeon HD 6950 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card.
One down side is I can't fit my old case fans, or even the one that came with the case, on the top mounts. My memory slots are too close to the mount and they won't fit.
If you're looking for a nice simple case, that will hold a larger gaming card as well as several drives, buy this one.
UPDATE:
After using this for a month I've found the airflow to be horrible. I put fans in all open slots, and my pc still ran hotter than my old case. Ended up buying Cooler Master HAF 912 Mid Tower ATX Case (RC-912-KKN1)
