I got this was very surprised as to how good it is. It checks all sorts of cables and even gives a few surprises as to how they are wired. It can have different connectors on each end of the cable and still checks them...great for USB to various USB types. Now I can show a client or customer what is wrong with their cable and makes the technician and customer more confident. Great item and also great customer service...I had a question and called them. Quick on the phone with responses.

Ordered 2 of these and both have non functioning LED's. Poor quality control. First one had a bad LED #19 in the right column. The second had a bad LED #7 in the left column. I returned the first one because the right column needs to work. The left column of LED's isn't as important because they test in sequential order so I know when pin #7 is being tested. If you order one, make sure all your LED's work.

Very handy unit. I own both the previous generation of this unit, and a couple of this newer style. The newer one has more modern ports and seems to be built more robustly. The older unit had a couple of LED indicators blow out after years of use. It's a little bulky, and it would've been nice to get some sort of pouch or cover for it so that dust and debris doesn't get lodged in the connectors.

It is a great product and worth every cent. It has made my efficiency on troubleshooting cables and connectors incredible. It is very simple and accurate.

I wish it had connectors for the flat Molex 6 & 8 pin styles as well.
