The game itself was new but the box had seen better days. I had planned to give it as part of a gift, but the box was damaged enough I ended up just keeping it and buying another one at a store for the gift.
I'm a big fan of Yahtzee classic, but I always played it alone... then i discovered this card game existed so I ordered it right away... and this game have been a blast with my friends! They still don't like the original but love this one!! Great for playing with friends!! Sometimes it can be a little tedious to go for a Yahtzee, and sometimes you can make mistakes, but in overall its a great concept!
I was introduced to this game on Wii's Family Game Night 3. I didn't pick up the rules right away, but I liked it once I did. Since I don't always feel like looking at a screen, though, I decided to get the card game. The card game was a little more involved than the version I usually play on the Wii, though I think this version is available too.
I do like the card game, but I don't think it is for everyone for the following reasons: 1) The rules of the game can take a while to learn. 2) One of the big problems of the game is that it requires that two people go "hands down" (make a hand that matches the card) before a new round starts. Once you go "hands down"--at least in this version--you aren't playing. If you are the first to go out, then you have to wait around for someone else to go out before a new round can begin. You can go "hands down" almost immediately if dealt the right hand...so it may be boring for some to wait around (particularly kids). 3) The game can take a while to play. 4) All the different types of cards may overwhelm some people.
I personally like the video game version because 1) it is timed, and 2) nobody goes out and has to wait. I think I might play that version and use my cell phone to time things. Of course, sometimes time runs out before anyone goes "hands down", but it makes the game less painful to play.
I first played this game with friends. They had gotten the game in a "mystery box" and we all enjoyed it. It's nice for 4 but 2 can play as well. Great holiday game or stocking stuffer - esp. for teens and adults.
I got this for my mom, because we love playing Yahtzee. Our family played it right away, and we really liked it. The first game took a while, since we were learning it. But, the next game went much quicker. We loved it!
Fun game for Yahtzee lovers. Have played many variations of the game and enjoy them all. Although this one can take some time to play (not a quick game), it is a great Yahtzee version for travelling with the family.
I was looking forward to playing this game. However, it arrived reeking of a very strong perfume. The box was damaged and missing it’s shrink wrap and several of the cards and papers were stuck together as if they had gotten wet. I had to return for a refund.
faire attention, la notice est en anglais, donc je l'ai téléchargé sur internet en français, je l'ai trouvé assez facilement ! le jeu est très bien, et dure une petite demi-heure, parfait pendant les vacances !!!!
