- Reviewed in the United States on April 27, 2012Being the type to kinda jump into playing, it took a little while to get the hang of how the controls for the game work. Ultimate eye spy allows you to control the user view by the arrow buttons on your wii remote. This has the effect of zooming in on parts of the puzzle.
My 5 year old daughter has been a puzzle fanatic since she was one. She needs a little bit of help as some of the puzzles can be frustrating - but that is what puzzles are !!! The brilliance of this game is that it builds learning of many basic concepts, including flight dynamics (paper airplane), propulsion, spelling etc. The interaction compared with other learning games is unmatched, making the game enjoyable.
Most importantly, because the interweaving of levels of difficulty, this game should appeal to many elementary school children K-5.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 11, 2013We bought this game after having bought I Spy Spooky Mansion. Both games are terrific! My daughter is 5 years old. She and I play together and it has been such a nice way to kill some time while beating the heat this summer! Honestly, after we eventually beat the game I was a little sad there is only two games for I Spy Wii! If you like the I Spy books then you will love interacting with this game! The price point is totally on as well!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 7, 2009This game has been a hit since my stepdaughter received it for Christmas. My wife thought it would be fun so we got it and everyone is loving it. I have stayed up past midnight playing!
It's not just pictures that you have to pick items out Like most I Spy Games. It's 3D images where everything is animated when you click on it. It also has a scavenger hunt and fun games to play in the puzzles as well as by themselves. I would recommend this game to any family with children. Even if you are just into search games this is the one for you.
The only downfall I have seen so far is that it only gives you savings for three people. We have four in the family so one of us has to use everyone else.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 16, 2013This comes across as a children's game of hidden object as far as appearance but the items are often difficult to find and screen navigation is poor.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 12, 2008My 4 year old son has already mastered all of the I Spy PC games and books and apparently they have stopped making new titles in either so we were hungry for anything new in I Spy. We got a Wii not too long ago and when we saw this we just had to get it.
The images are 3D and very realistic; you rotate your way around and through them to find the items. (one example is an aquarium that you 'swim' through) The images are very detailed and some of the items are very small so if you don't have a super steady hand it can get frustrating but I think it will get better for him with time. Also, my son sits in a bar stool type chair to play this because the 'mouse' kept getting stuck because of his height. This has never been a problem with any of the other games but with this one, he seems to need a boost.
Usually in each image there are 2 or 3 interactive items (out of about 6 or 8) that you find and interact with. (i.e. a paper heart that you cut out using the remote, a paper airplane that you fly and steer) These are actually quite tricky and take a couple of tries to get them right. This is great for paying attention to instruction as well as great hand/eye coordination.
All in all very fun (for everyone) and a MUST for any I-Spy fan!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2019I purchased this for my son who is a big fan of the books. We've really enjoyed this game. It captures the spirit of the books and adds in a little whimsical activities to go along with the puzzles.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 30, 2009I was excited to get this for my 6 year old twins. The game is not very fun and has many snags. It gets stuck and won't let you out of the mode it is in. It keeps repeating the same activities and only lets one player control the movement of the pictures to search. It leaves us frustrated and unwilling to play it.
Invest in something else unless you get this for ten dollars or less.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 30, 2013The beginning of the game starts with a crank that you have to turn to unlock the I spy game. It took us awhile, at least a minute, just to 'turn' the crank with the Wii remote.
It's somewhat easy to look around the scene (the one we played was in a fish tank) and find the items on the list (by the way, every time you want to see the list you have to press 1). However, if you click on the fish in the tank it forces you to play a fish racing game. The race game is okay but you have to place in the top three to complete it. It's all fairly easy just time consuming and not in a fun way.

3.0 out of 5 stars Case not in best shape
Game was in great shape-the case was completely thrashed. Had to throw it out so no place for the disc now
