Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
*UPDATE: December 7, 2011 - I ordered this basket again on 12/03, received 12/06 and some of the contents have expired. Amazon provided a refund immediately. I have lowered the stars from 5 to 3 until I can order again and verify that the treats are fresh; will update once again. (Original review below) I've sent three of these baskets out in the past month as thank yous and thinking-of-yous - everyone just loves them! Since I sent the first one with only the product dimensions to go by I was concerned that everything might be teeny-tiny portions but this is a full size basket. The reusable cup is about the size of a regular Starbucks coffee cup and the cheery double basket is actually large enough to hold a bottle of wine on each side. The treats are regular single serving size; that Fleur de Sel Caramel Corn by 479 Popcorn is absolutely delicious!!! My sister mentioned the outer box it comes in has a small sticker that says "Mother's Day Gift Basket" but the inner is simply wrapped with cellophane and the basket+contents looked exactly like the photo. Prices have gone up and down lately but I was lucky to find these on a manager's special; when priced at around fifty percent off list I think they are a really good value and I would definitely purchase more of these. Update 11/10/11: I received a comment from someone reading this review that some of her basket items were expired; even though food items are considered "non-returnable" your satisfaction with the item is still important and there is a recourse. Amazon customer service advised me that they would solve this in one of two ways: * if you are the gift recipient and you'd rather not tell the sender the item was expired, you can call Amazon CS and request a Gift Card in the amount of the item and either obtain a replacement or purchase something else. * if you prefer, you can inform the sender that the item was expired and they can call in and get a refund or replacement. I would post the phone number here but I believe the system deletes numbers and links - the number comes up easily on search engines though. Hope this helps!
