Recently purchased this as an Amazon lightning deal because my current 512MB ATI card is going out. Unfortunately, not only is the Amazon description in error, but the box, and even the label on the video card are as well! All claim this is a 512mb card, however Windows 7 Device Manager, the nVidia Control Panel, my bios, and even a 3rd party GPU monitor app ALL state this card has 256MB of video memory. Could they all be wrong? Perhaps, however the reason I even started investigating is because I noticed a significant performance decrease of Windows 7. Moving my browser window is extremely choppy, and there's about a 1/2 second delay between the keyboard and the screen when typing. So if you're thinking to yourself, "ok, so it's not as advertised, I can get by with 256MB at such a good price", you may want to reconsider if you're running Vista or Windows 7. My 512MB ATI handled all this and more perfectly, in fact I switched back to it and I'm smooth sailing again.

Very disappointed that Zotac could make such a glaring mistake, and will be returning the card immediately.

I gave this product 2 stars instead of 1 because if it weren't falsely advertised it would be a decent card for certain uses. The fan is extremely quite, and the card itself is very low profile. But other than that, and the cheap price (which actually isn't very cheap when you realize it's only a 256MB) I really can't say much else positive. Hope this helps other potential buyers.

This is a great card if you are building a hackintosh and have an unsupported video card built in to your motherboard. I used this in a Lenovo Thinkcentre M57 small form factor PC and it worked great, as long as I used the DVI port. The VGA port would not work reliably, often making the screen go dead when switching resolutions. While using the DVI port I had all of my monitor's resolutions available and switching was seamless. All apps worked properly and I had no overheating issues.

I use a version of Ubuntu 10.10, and I had been looking for a linux-friendly graphics card since I began to write simple graphics programs. This card sped up my computer and gives me crisp, clear graphics, especially after I bought a digital video cable.

Was having trouble getting 1360 x 768 on my Linux box running Ubuntu 11.10.
Shopped for Nvidia card and found this one for a great price. Simply screwed
it into the PC and Ubuntu recognized it and downloaded the control ware for it.
It looks great and has given me no problems at all. Highly recommended.
