GOOD THINGS ABOUT BENQ W1200
Some blue ray scenes look spectacular. I have a 120 inch screen using a white wall only and some of the scenes look as good as your local theater even better. Color and
Sharpness are excellent. Its brite enough to fill a 120 inch screen without a problem.
The benq w 1200 is small enough to be portable. At 8 pounds it fits in a back pack
And is easy to transport. The built in speaker provides enough sound for a small audience. Most home theather projectors don't have a built in speaker.
It also produces a bigger screen in a smaller space than the other DLP projectors.
BAD THINGS ABOUT BENQ W1200
The biggest problem I have scene so far it doesn't do good with dark scenes. I read
That you would have to buy the next model up to get good quality with dark scenes, that is the benq w6000. I also see halos around people , usually using standard DVD,s.
CONCLUSION
The Benq w1200 is not a projector for perfectionist. If you want the best possible image
do your research . benqw 6000 epson 8350.
For portability its very good. Many of the other projectors are twice as big .
I would recommend this projector to people who need to move around with it , its light,
its bright and produces excellent video except in dark scenes.
If you want the best possible image and you don't need portability check out the Epson 8350 or benq w6000.
UPDATE
I was able to solve the LIp- sync problems without getting a firmware update. All you have to do is by A DVD player that has a A/ V sync function. This funtion can sync the audio to video. The DVD player I own is the Sony BDP - S185. This solves the lip-sync probelm.
The benq w1200 produces beutiful and incredibly sharp day scenes. But after owning it for 4 months I still cant get it to look good going from day to night scenes.
