    Ok, so I got this cable because my PS3 sits next to a projector that I use. Instead of getting a longer HDMI cable and moving the system up towards me, I went with the move extension cable to just run the eye camera up to where I need it. With a 10ft. cable I would be able to do it with room to spare. Well, it's a good thing there was room to spare because this cable is not 10ft. it's more like 5ft. at most. I still was able to get the job done but just barely. So I guess it works but the description should say "make you move cable 10ft long" and not "adds 10ft."

    Simply put, this cable does what it is supposed to do, but you may not need it. I didn't know until I got the camera, but the stock USB/power cable it comes with, is 6.5 feet long, so before you buy this extension cable, think about your set-up and whether you need "extra" cable. I won't give this product a low score, because it does its job. I failed to research the Eye Camera and its cable length.

    If you still want this extension, you can't go wrong at its current price. The cable is well made, but it isn't anything fancy. It's basic plastic shielded, not braided; its connections both male and female nickle/tin plated, but they still work and do their job without any issues. Hope this helps.

    I ordered this cable and it DOES NOT allow the PS3 EYE to connect to the PS3. I went to Camera Device Settings and it says, "The camera in use may not be compatible with the PS3 system or may be connected to a USB hub that is not compatible with USB 2.0". When I detach it and plug in my PS3 EYE directly without the extension it works perfectly. Which sucks for me because my TV is on the wall and I need a longer USB extension cable for the PS3 EYE.

    I bought this specific item, instead of going with a generic (and less expensive) USB 2.0 extension cable, because it claimed to support the very thing that I needed it for; to extend the reach of the Playstation Eye camera. I have another cable that I use for extending the reach of my G27 steering wheel, but it does not work with the PS Eye, so I wanted to be sure and get something that was guaranteed to work.

    I have two versions of the PS Eye camera; an early version which came with the Eye of Judgement game, and a later version that came with the Sports Champions Move bundle. I was disappointed to find out that this extension cable DOES NOT WORK with the earlier version of the PS Eye camera. The blue light comes on, but blinks slowly and the camera is not able to connect.

    Fortunately, the extension cable works well with the later version of the camera. I've put in a few hours with it and so far it has performed flawlessly.

    However, I am giving the product a significantly lower score due to the fact that it simply doesn't do what it specifically claims to do for certain versions of the PS Eye camera. Make sure you know which version you have before you buy this cable.

My couch is fairly far from the console, so it's nice being able to play with a corded controller when my wireless is acting up or dead. Of course, my kittens love to attack it if I'm getting frustrated and whipping the cord around, but they're learning to not touch every single thing that moves, heh.
