    The DW 5002TD3 Turbo Chain-Drive Double Pedal is a center double pedal with chain drive system. Featuring a host of refinements and upgrades to their original, performance-proven design, the legendary DW 5000 Series bass drum pedals have remained "The Drummer's Choice" and the standard of the industry for over a quarter of a century. With aluminum hex shaft, pedal plates and linkages, dual/side adjusting hoop clamps, 2-way 101 beaters, and built-in spurs, it can be customized to fit the needs of any player.' Its patented Single Post Casting design provides ease of movement between the pedal and hi-hat, also allowing the pedals to be played independently or simultaneously.

      I love these pedals. They are smooth and sturdy, and I like the natural feel of round cogs with chain-drive. They don't squeak or rattle. I can play them hard and fast if I want, and they don't get in the way. The extension pedal plays almost as well as the main pedal, and I've never noticed any issue when doing double bass drum. The double pedal is pricey, but I knew that when I bought them, and I just wanted great pedals that would be a pleasure to play on. This would be a five star review except that the pedals come with a carrying case (which is good, by the way), but when I received mine, the snaps on the case had broken off. They are plastic, and had just cracked apart. The cardboard box it came in was undamaged, and so I have no idea how this happened. I considered sending the pedals back to get a new case, but I wanted to play, and the pedals were fine. The case should have metal closures anyway, instead of that cheap plastic. So, I'm taking off one star for the broken case with cheap plastic snaps. The pedals themselves are great.
